After giving birth there comes that moment, when you get home and just pause for a bit! You take in the reality that you just gave birth to a sweet newborn, and that your heart has doubled in size overnight! Your world is no longer about you, but this tiny human you created.
This sweet Baby girl was exactly that for her momma. So delicate, fragile, and full of hope. I couldn't have planned a better session for this cutie. The mom pretty much gave me free rein, so I used lots of creams, and just so muted tones.
I wanted to capture the delicacy of this family welcoming their new family member. So soft textures and delicate flowers were used. With organic props layered so the baby was comfortable.
My newborn sessions are designed to be easygoing. They typically last around 2-3 hours. They are slow and relaxed, with the baby pretty much calling the shots. It’s also easy on the family since they can stay right within their own home without worrying about packing everything up to travel to a studio. Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first two weeks after the baby’s arrival, but this is only a general guideline. Ultimately, the most important thing is to be relaxed and enjoy every moment of this journey called parenthood!
